Review the current dress code below. A proper dress code keeps our dancers safe, allows our teachers to observe their technique, and promotes unity among our students.  

New families do not need to worry about having everything they need for the first week of class. Socks and athletic clothing can work just fine for a week or two!

Dress Code for Dance Classes

Proper dancewear is required for all classes to ensure safety, comfort, and freedom of movement. Dancers must wear leotards, tights, or tight-fitting dance clothing (such as shorts and fitted tops).

Not permitted: Jeans, denim skirts, t-shirts, or everyday clothing.

Hair must be tied back and secured away from the face (hair spray or clips may be used as needed).

CLASS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: 

Jazz / Lyrical / Contemporary

• Jazz shoes or half-soles are required.

Tap

• Tap shoes are required. Style and color will be confirmed via email and at the Open House.

Ballet

• Pink tights
• Black leotard
• Pink, split-sole ballet shoes
• Hair must be worn in a bun.

Acro

• Bare feet
• Tight-fitting dancewear only (no baggy clothing), as instructors may need to safely spot dancers.

Hip Hop

• Baggy pants (e.g., cargo pants, sweatpants, joggers)
• T-shirt or fitted top
• Clean tennis shoes (used only indoors)

All of our students perform in our annual spring recital. Lights, costumes, and a theater bring these productions to life! Students get valuable performance opportunities while making lifelong memories. Students looking for additional performance opportunities should consider our Company Lines.
